no sound in headphones

I am having trouble getting sound in the xbox headphones the mic works fine I can tell xbox what to do but I don't get sound out of the headphones. worked fine when I got it even sent it back to Microsoft and they said there was no problem and there is no
mute buttons on so I am at a loss. Also the same thing with my turtle beach headphones. When I got it back from Microsoft plugged everything in and the turtle headphones worked fine then after about two minutes no more sound but the mic works fine. Any ideas

No sound via headphones

hi

I have some turtle beach headphones and they have been fine for a week. However I turned on the Xbox today and I have no sound coming through the headphones.

I have checked the headphones into my stereo and they work. So it’s not the headphones.

I’ve checked that the Xbox control is up to date and it is. I have checked the volume etc and that’s full blast

CAn anybody offer a solution please

As a home theater enthusiast I can attest that I switched to headphones for awhile (Astro A40). What I learned, there is no "surround sound" in headphones, period. The sound was great and I enjoyed cranking it up but it was still left and right (no true
front/rear or up/down). No comparison to surround sound systems.

Like I said both the xbox and turtle headset mics work fine just don't get sound out of them. Is there a setting inside xbox that might have turned off the sound to the headsets as xbox plays fine through my tv no problem with the sound.

I can not play using the headphone, they have ceased to reproduce the sound of the games, the headphone work perfectly (Turtle Titanfall Edition), I have also tried using the original console headphone.

What I did with my XP510 was I went to turtle beach website connected the headphones to my computer and reset them to factory settings and it corrected the problem. Headphones that come with xbox only get sound when your playing on line and chatting with
someone otherwise you get no game sound through them. I had same problem sent the xbox back to be checked and they found no problem.

The only way to adjust the sound without any adjuster within the headphones itself is to change the sound mix by going into the settings itself within the Xbox One dashboard.

Configure sound and chat mixer settings

Sound mixer allows you to adjust the blend of sound between visible apps. Chat mixer lets you adjust the blend of sound between your game and your chat communications.

Go to the Home screen.
Press the Menu button on the controller.
Select Settings.

Note You can say “Xbox, go to settings” from any screen, but you’ll need a controller to navigate once you’re on the
Settings screen.
Select Display & sound.
Select the type of audio mix you’d like to adjust.

I thank you but I have already followed those aids and made me understand that my adapter, attached to the xbox360 controller, works great. the problem is that when I start a game, any game, I don't hear any sound.

hello and thanks for your reply. but I use the hdmi cable only to watch video games from my xbox360 console to my computer monitor. my problem is that if I record my voice, I can listen to it again, so the adapter that is connected to the controller, works
very well, but if I start the game, nothing is heard.

Hey click the home button and go to the settings that the audio output is what you want. Speaker output, headphone output or output both

try re syncing the controller to the xbox i have this issue a lot and all u do is re sync the controller
