    No sound from Xbox one X


    I’m having trouble getting 5.1 out of my Xbox one X.

    My set up is Xbox one X connect via hdmi to my LG OLED 55b7 then optical to my Sonos sound bar which is linked to a sub and 2 x Sonos ones.

    I have selected bitstream and Dolby output on the Xbox but I just get silence. The only way to get any sound out of the Xbox is to select stereo.

    I get 5.1 through the TV on other sources like my Sky Q box so I’m sure the TV settings are correct.

    Any ideas would be extremely welcome

    Don't know abaout Panasonic but there is problem with Lg and X's Arc sound. There is no sound at all. So just wait for update/fix

    I have the same issue with my Sony HDR and 5.1 Vizio sound bar hooked up via the ARC HDMI port. For me it always seems to happen when I’m playing a game in HDR and go to the home screen to check on something else. It’s almost as if switching in and out of
    HDR stops the sound completely for me. I’ve tried it on uncompressed and bitstream with multiple games. It’s downright infuriating to pay this much money for something so buggy.

    My sound suddenly disappeared from my xbox one x. I have a LG65C7 ? I can see from other users they are experiencing the exact same thing please fix it with an update. Really important!

    Hello,

    I've got a soundbar, but disconnected this and and just used the TVs own speakers, still didn't fix the issue.

    I have tried other HDMI cables as well. Which didn't fix either.

    The muted microphone icon is still glaring at me in the top right corner of the screen.

    It looks like everything is fine with the settings. Your console is directly connected to your TV, right? Is there any other device connected to your setup as a soundbar?

    I also saw that you tested all your TV's HDMI ports, did you test using another HDMI cable too?

    Hey samy thanks for the reply!

    Here they are so far.

    -Chat mixer- reduce the volume of other sounds by 50%

    -Party chat output-headset

    -Hmdi audio- stereo uncompressed

    -Bitstream format is switched off

    -Allow passthrough is switched off

    -Headset format- windows sonic for headphones

    -Using hdmi audit headset is switched off.
