no sound from xbox one (HDMI + TV)

hey there, my xbox one don't play any sounds, not even if you move your cursor..

i already did a factory reset and looked if the audio& digital audio settings are right adjustid for HDMI.. hard reset didn't worked too..

So, any help for me?

No audio in Kinect Setup and Xbox Video Trailers -- Live TV works fine

The setup is fairly basic: HDMI from DirecTV receiver to Sony Home Theatre unit, HDMI from Sony Home Theater unit to Xbox One, and HDMI from XBox One to TV. TV Passthru, One Guide, etc all work fine. I can watch Live TV, DVR, or Bluerays without issue.
When calibrating Kinect, no sounds play through the speakers (sound is up all the way). Attempts to hear sounds in Apps (like XBox Videos) also produces no sound. I'm at a bit of a loss on what to do next. Any advice is welcome.

Surround sound connection issues

Hi everyone,

I've tried everything, even been on live chat with M* for hours and can't resolve this.

I'm trying to get the Xbox One to play sound through my blu ray surround sound. I have a Panasonic TX50-AX802b TV and a Panasonic BTT465 surround sound system. I've tried all the things I can find on the forum and still no joy.

Tried 2 different set ups:

HDMI from TV to Xbox One, HDMI from Xbox One to surround sound;

HDMI from TV to Xbox One, optical cable from Xbox One to surround sound.

No sound coming through the surround sound at all.

Any help hugely appreciate, it's starting to drive me mad now

Hi L4st R1sen,

Sorry you're having audio issues. First you should try a different HDMI cable and different HDMI port on your TV. If that doesn't work, you should check your settings and verify that "Stereo Uncompressed" is the option for your audio. If that's still
not working, then I would try a different TV if possible, OR even bring your console to a family member or friends house. If it works on another TV then for sure try a different cable. If it doesn't work anywhere the it could be your console and you should
visit the link below to have your console serviced.

I have the same set up.

Satellite in to DirecTV

HDMI from DirecTV to Xbox One

HDMI from XBOX ONE to TV

Audio over the HDMI or Optical from Xbox One to Sound System

With that and connection to IR ports with the Kinect you will be able to control games and TV.

Just had to say.... I've had to disconnect the hdmi from the xbox as the sound was just too much. Plug the sky box into the TV and problems sorted. My setup is sky hd box --- hdmi to xbox ----hdmi to tv. Sound is an lg sound bar on an optical cable direct
from the tv.

HDMI from Xbox to TV. Another HDMI from TV to surround sound. And I think (will have to double check when I get home) optical cable from Xbox to surround sound.

Both the HDMI Audio and Optical Audio is set to "Stereo Uncompressed" in my XBOX Settings Menu.

Yes, I have tried connecting the Sound Bar to my TV. I don't have an Optical Input on my TV, so I used the Red / White RCA cables. The Sound Bar does not work from the TV - because it is not on the same HDMI input.

(I have 7 inputs on my TV: XBOX One is on Input 7, and my cable box is on Input 8. The RCA Inputs are on Input 4.) When I connect the Red / White RCA cables to my cable box though, the Sound Bar works perfectly.

This is what is confusing. HDMI sound and RCA sound is coming fine from the cable box. But, only HDMI sound is coming from the XBOX One. The Sound Bar is silent.
