no sound from the OneGuide app

    no sound from the OneGuide app


    I watch TV all the time on my xbox.. all of a sudden yesterday the sound quit out within the app. I powered down xbox and it started working again. Today the same thing happened but now it won't come back on. I checked all cables and everything.. it works
    just fine when playing games or when hooking up cable box outside of xbox. I think it's a bug with this latest update. Has anyone else had this problem?

    No sound from OneGuide and Now TV app

    I have lost sound when trying to watch either live or on demand content from OneGuide (via an xbox freeview receiver) and NowTV. It was working fine last week and then for no apparent reason the sound went. Strange thing is that sound is fine on Netflix
    and Amazon Video, so I don't think it's not my speakers or AV receiver.

    I've tried all the suggested fixes that I saw on here including checking that my Xbox One video and audio settings are correct, restarted, shut and opened apps... nothing.

    Any ideas?

    They have officially responded on reddit:

    "OneGuide, including the guide, TV controls, and TV streaming, were removed from the Windows versions of the Xbox app. To use OneGuide on Windows, get the Xbox One SmartGlass app in the Windows Store. OneGuide is still part of the Xbox app on iOS and Android."

    nevermind, I completely powered down my cox cable box and that fixed it.

    I am referring to the OneGuide menu on the Xbox App on Windows 10. The Remote Control option is missing under
    Connection as well.
