    No sound from new XBOX series X


    I bought a new series X and was connected to my TV ( sony ) with HDMI. I have no sound for the games i play. i have tried everything that i saw in the net including changing ports, setting the video to recommended settings but still no sound.

    is there anything specific that i should do. the console and the cable are brand new( 2 days now).

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    Please follow the steps below:

    Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options.

    Select Video fidelity & overscan.

    Under Display, select HDMI.

    Once done, you should be able to hear sounds on your new Xbox Series X console.

    Are you talking about the Xbox One X or the Xbox Series X?

    If it's for the Xbox One X, I am not sure. However, there are a few articles on the google news page from two days ago. Just type 'Xbox Series X June Update.'

    Upgrading from xbox one to series x it the best option because most new games what are coming out are playable only on the series x and are not available to play on the xbox one.
