    No sound during playback


    I have my Xbox 360 connected to my Xbox One because Xbox One is still being douchey about USB drive support/media playback. So, I watch videos on my USB drive, plugged into my 360, ran through my Xbox One. Up until two days ago, I have not had any trouble.
    Now, when I try to watch videos, I have video but no audio. I have audio in menu and for other apps, but oddly, not for Netflix.

    So, no audio during playback on Netflix or on USB video.

    I just don't get it. Was there an update or something that's *** with me? It's really frustrating.

    5.1 Surround Sound - HDMI

    I went through all the settings long ago while setting up! Surround sound has been enabled and the audio settings are set to HDMI - 5.1 uncompressed. Please note that surround sound is not present during ANY activity, not just while using the "TV" app. No
    surround sound during regular gaming, music playback, DVD playback, anything.

    blu ray player choppy playback and sound sync issues

    I'm having issues with the blu ray player with choppy playback and sound sync issues.

    Problems seem to arise after a while of watching a disc say 30 minutes or so.

    I have no issues with game discs.

    The most recent discs Ive had trouble watching are Star Wars Rouge One HD blu ray and the latest Blade Runner 4K UHD disc.

    To cure the issue during playback I had to power cycle the console during the film. I still encountered a minor sound loss but even so having to reboot a console midway through a film isn't ideal to say the least.

    The console has also had a hard reset recently.

    Xbox YouTube app screen tearing, followed by low resolution and poor loading.

    You think a bug during sped up playback could be fixed by both either a factory reset or manually channged network settings?
    Those sound completly unrelated to the issue at hand and are catch alls. You're feedback is incredible condescending.

    Xbox One Audio and Sony Soundbar

    Amish, considering that your soundbar is designed for 7.1 surround sound you're going to want to connect your Xbox One to it using HDMI and then in your Xbox settings, under display and sound, set the HDMI audio to 7.1 uncompressed. This should get the best
    sound out of your system.

    DTS is going to compress the audio signal before it sends it to the soundbar which will then have to decompress it before it plays it back. This can potentially lead to a loss in audio quality during playback, whereas with the 7.1 uncompressed it doesn't
    have to go through that extra step so it should give you a more accurate playback of the audio.

    Blu-Ray freezing for a second.

    Yep, tested this out and both films i tested had a split second freeze during playback.

    It only happened twice during both films, but it's still not an ideal situation.

    I've had this issue too, but I don't believe there is a setting to enable the controller to stay on during movie playback.
