    No sound coming out of headphones (3.5mm jack)


    I was using my headphones and talking with my friends via party chat. Then I unplug it for a few minutes and then out it back in. After that I couldn't hear anything, no party, game I even went onto the dashboard to hear if the sound worked there.. No luck.
    I've done this many times and this is the first time it happened. I hard reset my console. I know it isn't the headphones because I plugged them into my laptop and they worked fine. When I went to into the 'device and accessories' part of the settings. I went
    onto my controller and it doesn't come up with the option to adjust the volume, like it used to. I've tried using different headphones, no luck. No sound coming out of headphones (3.5mm jack) :(

    Does the monitor not have a headphone jack? My solution is using HDMI in to my monitor, sound through the HDMI, and audio out (3.5mm) of the headphone jack to my headset station.

    3.5mm jack to RCA?

    Yes, if the regular headphones are getting sound from the headphone jack of the tv, the 3.5mm to RCA adapter should work for getting sound to your turtle beaches. You probably already checked for audio out RCA jacks on the back of the tv?

    You can't get sound through a VGA cable, that's definitely right. I'm not sure which 3.5mm audio jack you're talking about, but if you can connect the red and white cables from the AV cable to a 3.5mm audio jack and connect that to an audio INPUT on your
    monitor, that should work for sound. You would of course need to make sure that it's an audio input on your monitor (not a headphone out jack) and that you have either speakers in your monitor or headphones to use.

    Can't seem to get any sound with a used VGA cable.

    The stereo jack I linked to is the same one that comes with the official VGA cable. The stereo jack is 3.5mm, the same size a typical set of headphones use. If your screen accepts a set of headphones, it will also accept the mini jack.
