No sound coming on tv from Xbox one x

Another thing to check if you have not already is head the SETTINGS>DISPLAY&SOUND>AUDIO OUTPUT.

Under the Speaker Audio make sure that HDMI Audio is picked.

This is just if you have not already checked here first.

as additional things to try please double check all cables if they are connected firmly and if you have a spare cable for the cable(s) between TV and console and try those , like the HDMI cable to see if that makes any difference.

Also if possible try to see what happens if you connect the console to a different TV.

This is all to determine what device/cable is causing the issue.

If for example a different cable fixes the issue, then it's the cable. If the console (and audio) works on a different TV then it's related to the TV etc.

Did you try the Xbox on another TV just to confirm it's not a TV issue ?

Try a different HDMI port/cable etc.

I'd also double check the display output setting on the Xbox isn't set to DVI as that only provides video no audio.

One X. I recommend trying a power cycle
of the console.

If the problem persists, try doing a
soft factory reset of the console,
Reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.
