    I recently installed windows on my new pc. I opened the game bar but it only shows game capturing and sound controls.

    I can't access my friends list or my chats via the game bar.

    Hi,

    The Companion App isn't the best tool to use to join or make parties with other PC and Xbox users now.

    You should try using Game Bar instead. Just press the Windows key and tap G to access the Game Bar.

    Hi there!

    Thank you for coming to the forums. I'd be happy to try and help.

    Does it not allow you to drag it from the top banner of the game bar? Pressing the Windows Key + G will bring up the Game Bar so believe pressing it again should hide the game bar.

    You may need to update it, check for updates using the Microsoft Store app, once it's updated everything, then all the options should be there.
