    No Signal with Energy-Saving mode


    Hello,

    I am a YouTuber and recently started having issues with my Elgato recognizing the signal from my Xbox One X. I've had no issues up to the last couple of days. I would get full video if my Elgato program wasn't running, but a black screen if it was. This
    lead me to believe it may be an HDCP issue and read that turning on Energy-Saving rather than Instant On is a good work around.

    Since turning on Energy-Saving I get absolutely no signal. Not even a black screen. I have tried using different HDMI cords, plugging the console directly into the TV, rather than the Elgato, and nothing seems to work. The interesting thing is that if I
    plug it into an HDMI switcher, it switches to that input. So it is sending something through, but my TV and Elgato don't see a signal. Anyone know how to fix this issue? I have a lot of videos to make using this console.

    When will we be getting a way to limit the download speed the Xbox One uses?

    xbox one is constantly updating your friends and feeds and so on , but it should not be doing it in energy-saving mode , it should be ALL the way off , that's why it takes so long to boot up in that mode...maybe yours isn't in that mode or it isn't working
    properly...

    Energy-saving power mode

    In energy-saving power mode, your console is shut down to save energy. In this mode:

    •Updates are not downloaded and installed until your console is turned on.

    •Your console takes 45 seconds to start up.

    •You must press the Xbox button to start the console.

    Notes

    •In energy-saving mode, the PSU is in off/standby mode and the solid orange LED on the PSU is bright.

    •The console uses 0.5 watts of power when in energy-saving mode.

    so if the psu is off , I don't see how it could use the internet...

    Additional, whilst troubleshooting, make sure to set your console's power energy mode to energy-saving mode

    If your Xbox is set to "Energy-saving Mode" there is no sound output during the initial startup of the Xbox One which won't trigger the auto-wake feature on your bose Solo 15 series.

    The auto-wake however will work when you output a sound from the Xbox system like saying "Xbox Go To Netflix".

    You can either setup your Xbox One to do a full start and deaktivate Energy saving mode. Or you use the remote signal function as already described.

    I had the same issue, but the area that says Power mode is clickable and you change it to "Energy Saving" that way. Just unchecking the boxes will not put it into Energy Saving Mode.

    Energy save Mode has never given me any problems with external drives, and I recall a similar issue to yours that suggested changing mode to Energy save.
