    So the other night I left my Xbox on to update a game, as the internet here is slow i left it running over night. This morning i was able to move about the home page and the store etc, but when i started a game my Xbox froze. I turned off my Xbox, gave it
    a minute then tried to turn it back on. Since then my TV has not been receiving a signal from my Xbox even when the light is on. Even connected my laptop to the TV with the same cable and it works fine.

    I searched all the forums, did everything everyone said to try. Used another TV and HDMI cable, nothing. Tried to start up in low res mode, didn't work. Unplugged everything, even left em unplugged for an hour, no change. I'm really hoping there is another
    way to fix this as the $150 is hard to come by right now and I'm in Korea so the mail system is weird here.

    Xbox showing "No Signal"

    I have tried my xbox in different TVs with different component cables but it still says no signal when I try to power the xbox on. Just before it started showing "no signal" the screen had lines going across it. I know that the cables are plugged in properly
    and have tried both the HDTV and TV settings on the cable. Also I do not have a HDMI port on my XBOX. I am looking at sending my xbox off to be fixed so would appreciate a quick response to see if I can fix this issue myself! Thanks in advance

    G'day Bentley! It sounds like you've tried most steps already, but let's also reset the display settings just to be sure.

    • If there's a disc in the tray, remove it.
    • Turn the console completely off, and then power back on.
    • As the console is starting up, press + hold Y and pull the right trigger. Your display settings will reset and the console will automatically restart.

    If you still don't have a visual after that, then your best bet will be to
    set up a repair     or to replace the console. Let us know how it goes!

    All of a sudden, no sound on DVD's or HD-Dvd's?? Weird

    Welp fixed it myself.....damn that digital audio signal(s).

    1. Receiver was switched off auto signal decoding. That is whatever signal is passed through to the receiver, DD 5.1 in this case, the receiver will detect and automatically play the signal. My receiver was set to a manual setting, and when the Xbox launched
    a DVD/HD-DVD the Digital signal was being sent through, but since it was not on AUTO it laid dormant looking for "manual" specified signal setting.

    2. Same thing with Digital Stereo/Dolby Digital via xbox settings. It will try and send choice signal and if your equipment cannot decode it, no sound.

    Whats nice is that my receiver makes a clicking sound when it switches/detects a new signal being sent. And when I didn't hear this sound It led me to my solution. Thanks Denon.

    No, with my issue the TV just receives no signal at all. When turned on the xbox is clearly on, but nothing happens on screen, it just stays at the default TV "no signal" screen.

    X1 stopped turning on and off my audio receiver since update

    I am having the same problem. I have a samsung sound bar hwf450. I was able to get it to send a power signal when the xbox one turns on by turning instant on off but it seems when I turn the xbox off it just doesn't send a signal.
