  1. No signal to monitor. No kinect or controller input.

Obviously, I'm having trouble with my Xbox One.

I took the hdmi cable out the back to borrow it for a few minutes and plugged it back in when I was done. When I turn it on next I get no signal errors on my monitor. My kinect won't turn on when the console does, I absent mindedly pressed the 'connect' button
on the back of my controller thinking what's up and now it won't reconnect.

I wonder if it's updating, but with no way of interacting with the console I'm stumped.

I've tried a separate hdmi cable in different ports on my monitor. I've tried leaving the console alone for an hour to see if it would update but no joy there either. I checked with a friend and it doesn't say I'm online while my console is on. And finally
I've tried turning on the console with my router turned off but still the same problems occur.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    :)

    Xbox One and Hp Monitor

I recently found my old hp monitor, the hp w1907. Using an xbox one, I tried to set up the xbox with the monitor as the display. Because the monitor has no HDMI input I bought a DVI to HDMI converter. However when I plug-in the HDMI cable into to the
converter and then the converter into the monitor I get the message, "no input signal" for the dvi input. Then the monitor says "check video cable" and goes black. The converter is brand new, so it is unlikely faulty. Any suggestions on what the problem could
be or how to fix it? Thanks

Question about Connecting Xbox to PC monitor

You should consult your monitor's user guide. Whatever the monitor would default to will be its source, Generally, I would say that whatever signal is received first will be used by the monitor. For me, if I have two sources turned on (DVI and VGA), the
monitor will read whatever signal it received first. If I want the other signal, I manually change the input from the monitor's controls, or turn off the current source. Your monitors should have the ability to manually switch between inputs.

No signal to monitor. No kinect or controller input.

Hey Lex! Have you performed a hard reset of your console? This fixes a large number of issues. I would suggest an extra step for you - disconnect your HDMI cable first. Now, hold the power sensor for 8 seconds, let go & wait for the power brick to show a
steady orange light. Now, unplug your power from the wall. Re-connect your HDMI first, then plug your console back in and power up. I'm thinking, when setting up the console, they recommend plugging all cables in first, before power, so it might help to do
    it this way.

    hdtv or gaming monitor

Monitors generally have less input lag than TVs because the signal isn't processed. Certain latest monitors have lag of less than 10ms.

Use Xbox 360S with DVI monitor

It says that to use that setting, you need an HDCP input. So your monitor should be fine with HDCP signals.

    hdtv or gaming monitor

Input lag is the difference in time between when the signal is accepted by the display and when it is shown on the screen. Both HDTVs and monitors have some, but monitors tend it have less because of default settings on TVs increasing input lag. You can
set up a HDTV to have an unnoticeable amount of input lag.
