    My brother got an xbox one s today and has no signal. all inputs are in the proper spots and he tried it on two tvs. any fixes?

    Initial Setup: Signal Received But No Picture

    During my initial setup to watch TV through the Xbox, I get confirmation that a signal is received, and then the message to click "Next" when the picture appears in the smaller box to the right. The picture never appears.

    The setup looks like this:

    DirecTv Genie --> XBox --> HDMI Switch --> Sound Bar --> TV

    Any suggestions?

    Didn't change anything, but after trying again it seems to be working.

    Before getting a new HDD, try clearing the console cache by going to settings on the dashboard, go to memory, and then press Y on the HDD and hit clear cache. If this doesn't help I would try formatting the HDD as well.

    Based on your problem returning, it's possible that you have a faulty harddrive. You might want to contact support and see if the hard drive is covered under warranty:

    followed the above and was fine untill this morning 25 jan, turned off the console last night after having no problems, then this morning i was asked to run the setup again

    That is because you are using Time Warner (Spectrum) internet service. That is a known issue with that service and has been going on for over a year. The best solution is to run the console wired instead of wireless if possible. You should contact them
    to see if they will provide you with a different make/model gateway. They should be well aware of the issue.
