  1. No signal for new HDMI cable, old one works but with problems

I have a Sanyo 24XR10F TV and an Xbox 360 arcade (purchased in 2010 and 2009, respectively). The old HDMI cable was fine until last year, when red pixels started flashing on dark areas of the screen, and other digital flickering appeared. I then bought a
new HDMI cable that works flawlessly with connecting my PC and laptop to my TV. However, it does not work with the Xbox 360. All I get is a screen saver, indicating no signal. I know that there is some handshake going on, because sometimes when I plug in the
HDMI cable, the Xbox reboots and the TV "Screen saver" text disappears for a second, before returning. At no point is there a picture on screen.

The old HDMI cable works decently at 640x480 DVI, despite having no sound. Any higher resolution brings red pixels and flickering.

So far I have tried the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Unplugged both sides, and replugged them in.

    2. Powered down both devices. Powered them back up until fully on. Plugging in first the Xbox, then the TV. Repeating this but with the TV first.

    3. Held down Y and Right Trigger to reset display settings on the Xbox as it boots up.

    4. Held down the power and eject buttons to reset the Xbox as it boots up.

    5. Attempt to change the display resolution settings "blind" while the new HDMI cable is plugged in. I did this by writing down the exact inputs required to access and change this setting.

I have not got another display or TV device at home that I can try this new cable on. I suspect the new HDMI cable would work fine with another device, but this wouldn't help me with the TV I own.

My question is: What else can I do to reset the HDMI handshake and restore HDMI signal from the Xbox to the TV?

    :)

    HDMI problem

I recently bought a new tv(Phillips LCD) and tried to hook up my xbox 360 using the HDMI cable. When I select the input the xbox is connected to is says "no source." My xbox is about a year old 250GB version. It works fine with the a/v cables and the
HDMI cable i was using works fine with my DVD player. I have tried to reset defaults on my xbox but still nothing. Since it states no source on my TV, I am afraid there is no signal even coming out of my xbox HDMI output. I have seen alot of people with
weird HDMI problems but none like mine so I was wondering if I am the only one.

    no HDMI signal or error

    hello

i have read the announcemnt post about the problems with video. I did reset the console with my controller but still no luck.

the problem is that my console stopped giving hdmi signal. it was working fine a week ago. when i turn on the console the screen flashes a bit like the tv could not get in touch with the console but in the end gives no signal found. the console works fine
no error signals. i have bought a new hdmi cable and still does not work. other devices work fine through hdmi with the tv.

the console works fine with an av cable but its low resolution. i AM using a standard xbox 360 bought in 2011 still with valid warranty.

    please help

  4. No signal for new HDMI cable, old one works but with problems

    Hey there, Restive!

I'm sorry to see this display issue! It honestly seems like you've done everything you can to figure out what the issue is, but it sounds like it might be the console's HDMI port itself. For how old the console is, it had a good run, but these things do
    happen.

You can test it out easiest if you have another console you can test with that same HDMI cable and TV. Due to the age and type of console you have, though, we no longer support repairs for them. You would unfortunately need to purchase a new console if the
    HDMI port has indeed failed.

Let me know if you have any other concerns or questions! I'm happy to help where I can. No signal for new HDMI cable, old one works but with problems :)

Audio Buzzing/Feedback When Using HDMI Switcher

    Hi Sevion,

Sorry you're having issues with your HDMI switch. As the Xbox works with no issues when plugged into the TV directly, the Xbox and that HDMI cable are both fine. The problem is with one of your HDMI cables or the switch itself. I would recommend trying different
cables to see if you get a better signal, or getting a new switch box all together.

TV issues (black picture....audio cutting in and out...etc)

Anyone know anything?? Is it cause my Shaw HD cable box is too old? An HDMI signal should just pass the digital signal through and it should work! Piece of junk

    Tv channels skipping

I got mine working. I had to replace my dvr with one of my newer directv minis AND i had to use the Xbox HDMI cable. Just using the cable alone with the old dvr, or using the new mini with the old cable, still had problems.
