    I have tried everything.

    I went to use my xbox yesterday and i hadnt gone on it for two days previously. I turned it on and the screen was very distorted on the tv and it kept losing signal.

    I switched HDMI cables and it still didnt work. Ive connected it to a different tv and it still didnt work. When i switched the tv’s it was just a black screen or a message appearing saying “No signal”. Ive even switched the power cables. Guess what?
    It didnt work.

    The xbox is turning on and i’ve checked the cables are in good condition and fitting in properly and they are, there is just no signal going through. Ive even held the power button in for around 10 seconds and it still wont work. Ive tried again
    today and nothing seems to be working. So i pray that one of you give me the answer im looking for.

    I would like to add that I have not dropped my xbox, it has not been damaged in any way.

    4k from cable box through Xbox day one edition

    The Xbox One doesn't directly pass through the HDMI signal. It always "intercepts" everything coming in from the HDMI in port and processes it.

    Since the original idea was to have TV and games "picture in picture", the Xbox takes the video signal, and processes it to be included with the TV app on the console and then outputs it via it's own video signal to the TV.

    Since the original Xbox One isn't 4K capable, you will not get 4K from your cable box if you run it through the original Xbox One.

    if you are using hdmi then the controllers will not connect until the tv gets the hd signal from the xbox. my controllers will keep blinking until the tv finds the signal, so the main issue is the lack of signal to the tv, is your hdmi cable plugged in properly?
    mine comes loose from time to time. id the cable faulty? have you maybe plugged it in to the wrong hdmi channel if you have more than one on your tv? I have 3 hd ports on mine and i have often plugged it into port 1 and then try getting signal from port 3.

    It's possible the audio has changed from PCM to Dolby Digital. Your TV may not be able to handle a 5.1 signal.



    Does your receiver show a 5.1 signal coming from the console?
