    NO SETTING TO BALANCE SOUND FOR HEARING IMPAIRED


    Even if you are not hearing impaired... sometimes you still have to balance the sound based upon the room shape, speaker efficiency, and background noise. Nearly every gaming system, hand held phone, car and stereo system has had the ability to balance
    sound. Even in Microsoft Windows, you can balance the sound. Why is there NO option in the XBONE?

    For the Hearing Impaired

    Hello,

    I was hoping to get some insight on the possibility of hearing aide compatible devices like headphones, and etc., so people with a hearing impairment can comfortably communicate with other players and even hear the game without having to wake the neighbors.

    I am also wondering if the new S controller's Bluetooth can connect to a ComPilot for hearing aides, which is designed for listening to music and connecting to other Bluetooth devices for sound and communication.

    Help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

    Mastiodectomy, I had that done when I was 7 years old on my right year. My left ear has always been fine. Never gotten a hearing aid, when I asked about them I was told I'm lucky my left ear is fine. Which is great, but I always wonder what life would
    be like it my right ear were able to hear more.

    To the guy asking about advatange in games. I don't think my hearing enables me to be ahead when using my sight, but on occasions I do notice things my brothers won't notice. I get the comment "I didn't even see him" quite a lot on shooters.

    No, it is verbal descriptions of action on the screen. Not a text description of the dialouge and sound. It is for visual impairment not hearing impairment.

    Just so you know, I'm one of them.

    And yes, I do rely on my sight a lot in games. Which is why I'm rubbish at shooters. Other games have the benefit of being able to hear where gunshots are close and people sprinting towards you I don't.

    As for how I lost my hearing, brain stem encephilitis when I was 8 years old. Nasty stuff.

    well when i was 3 both ear drums popped, then at 13 had a big op on my right ear ( which my hearing can come and go ) then had another op on my left ear that works fine, but the docotrs said that ill lose my hearing in my right ear @ 18, i porved them wrong,
    the reason i ask this as because i think that xbox should be more aware of the hearing impaired gamers but thats my view
