No Saved files left in Xbox X series

Hello, I'm beginner of xbox development.

I'm developing a game for xbox x series, and I want to save files to my dev console.

My savedata size is over 16MB, so I chose XGameSaveFiles, not XGameSave.

A root folder to a file can get from XGameSaveFilesGetFolderWithUiResult, and full path is below.

[Root]\\SAVEFILE01.DAT

(In GDK document, slash is used, but when I used CreateFile, it returns a invalid handle. So I'm using back slash.)

CreateFile and WriteFile functions were succeeded, and read files also were in the game was running.

However, once my game quite and restart it, CreateFile with OPEN_EXISTING is NOT succeeded.

Where're my files gone?

I need help. Thank you.

Yeah, I’m having the same problem. Got an Xbox Series X/S, bought the Series X/S version of the game — beat it, got the DLC upgrade but now my save files don’t want to upload saying I have to get my Xbox One file…which I don’t have.

I know I could just delete my saves and start over, but I’m not spending another 50+ hours grinding through to get to where I was in the first place.

Thank you for your post. I understand you are looking to keep your saved-data on your Xbox One but access it from an Xbox Series X. If the games you install are compatible with the Xbox Series X, you should be able to continue where you last left off in
your games.

All your Xbox One save games is saved in the Cloud, so they are fully accessible when you move to the Series S/X. Just install the game on your new console, an you are ready to pick up where you left off.

They are two versions of the game available, the Xbox One version and the Xbox Series X|S version. Make sure you have purchased the same version you have been playing, and the save should continue from where you left off.
