No response to ticket about a faulty elite controller

I bought a brand new xbox elite controller from microsoft directly and it arrived with wear and tear. Upon using it the A button is also faulty.

I lodged a exchange request 2 days ago but haven't received a response other than the automated message that told me to expect a response within 24 hours. I tried following the Device service and repair link but that doesn't seem to help.

What should I do?

Give it another day or so, I put in an exchange request for my Elite 2 and even though the email said I would get a response in 24 hours it did take a few days - everything seems to be taking longer due to covid.

I had my return label etc through this morning

Thanks, that's good to know and hopefully the same for me. I was just unsure if I may have made a mistake or they did.

Sounds like the elite controller is faulty. Maybe it is time for a repair/replacement. http://support.xbox.com/

Hi,

A controller has 90 days of warranty starting the date of purchase on your ticket/bill ( PS : Elite controller its 1 year ).

Repair center needs the bill or ticket to double check the date, if no bill or ticket, it will be impossible to get a remplacement under warranty.

Unfortunately, your warranty period expired in February. For Elite Controllers, it's 12 months in the UK and 90 days in the US (unless purchased in an Elite bundle, which is 12 months). If you attempted the RMA process prior to the warranty expiring, customer
support might make an exception.

Personally, I would keep contacting support regardless of the warranty period expiring, as Microsoft knows these controllers are defective. In the US, there was an unofficial program offering a one-time free replacement to Series 1 owners.

For anyone else reading this response in the future:

Never buy Xbox Elite Controllers, including Series 2. They are overpriced and faulty.
