why have I not received any points after my first pre-order?

No points from pre-order

If the top of the promotion (showing the 1-2-3 = 15,000) does not have a "punch" or green mark in it AND it has been over 96 hours then the staff will have to review. However, keep in mind that you will not receive points just for pre-ordering that title.
You must complete the offer (purchasing 3 digital titles) in order to receive the 15,000 reward points. The purchases must all take place during the offer period (01/01/17 to 03/31/17), be digital, and be a "pre-order".

The staff works Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm PST and typically takes 1-2 business days to reply. They do not work weekends.

As Murphs says, your punch for this purchase is displayed on 1 - 2 - 3 punchcard at the top of the page. The body of the page is just for displaying purchases of normal editions of games.

It depends on which offer you're looking for credits from.

There is the "Simply Rewarding" offer which should award 6,000 credits after you make $60 worth of purchases this month. As long as you opted into that offer, the credits should show as pending about 96 hours after you completed your purchase.

Otherwise, there is the games on demand punchcard offer. If the game is eligible for that offer, you would need 2 other eligible purchases to complete the offer and receive credits.

Is there really a point to pre-ordering a digital copy of a game?

After all it isn't as if they are going to sell out of them and pre-order bonuses are always made available later on for purchase.

Surely the only things worth pre-ordering are those things you know have limited stock.

pre-ordered a couple days after release, then cancelled it and went with another company so I could use Tesco Points

Hey all, the best thing I can think of as to why this is, is that it prevents people from pre-ordering the game, getting the content, and then canceling the pre-order. After all the whole point is to get the game and I know there’s gonna be some people
that, upon getting a modern warfare content, we’re just turn around and cancel it. They’ve already got the content and didn’t have to pre-order anything
