    No picture or sound


    I bought my xbox one September 2015. Its April 23, 2016 (1am). I just got home from work and went to turn on my xbox. Have dailies I wanted to run before I went to Netflix and bed. I pressed my xbox button on my controller and the light just blinks then
    goes off. I then turned my xbox on using the button on the xbox itself. Ding, or whatever sound it makes when turning on. I have no visual or sound coming from my tv. I bought my tv in February 39" Element. I've never had any problems. I was playing on
    it earlier today before work. Ive tried all 3 HDMI slots and still nothing. There is no disc in the console either... I'm now doing another reset (unplugged everything, including the router) This is my 3rd time in an hour doing a reset and trying to get video/sound.
    Any ideas?

    No Picture or Sound or Anything!

    Thing is...is it worth paying to get it fixed?? or would it just be easier to get a new xbox?

    I think it will cost probably about £100 and could take ages, I really dunno what to do.

    No Picture or Sound or Anything!

    Was playing a game when the pic went a funny colour of red, kinda fuzzy looking and almost like an 80's music video. So I switched off the console and then back on again but found I no longer had sound, pic or anything.

    The console still seems to run, green lights, no red, pad connects fine, sounds fine but I have no picture or sound, just a blank TV screen.

    I have tried switching off, removing every cable and HD then switching off, the Y button and right trigger together , checked all cables and switched them over with the DVD player to check and checked the TV outputs, its all fine accept I have no pic or
    sound for the xbox.

    Help!

    No picture or sound

    So today I had everything turned off while I was at work. I got home and tried my box again. I have visual on my tv... but.... I'm now stuck at the green xbox one loading screen... 23 minutes now.... what do I do? Other then sit aroud and wait for someone
    to reply....

    I've tried a new hdmi (well one from my dvd player) have audio and video again... thanks for the rapid response

    Im back to no audio/video. I put a disc game in, box wouldn't read disc.. I turned it off when had dinner.. ... now I'm back to no audio or video....

    We aren't official support, just users like you. Cool your jets.

    Reset your video settings, take your HDD out, and remove all accessories. If your console still acts up, then it's on the verge of failure and needs to be serviced/replaced.

    Hi Boozor,

    You'd probably want to contact XBOX Support as without any way of being able to put in a hard drive or even a secondary storage device (USB Flash Drive) I believe there's something wrong with your console and it would need to be repaired.

    A repair can be started by going here.

    Sound, but no picture.

    Actually, I did take out the hard drive and the 8 gig memory stick, and I now have picture!! However, plugging either of those in denies me picture. Any tips on that problem, anyone?

    Sound and No PICTURE!!!!

    Hey Carnage, First off I am sorry to hear you are having a video issue with your Xbox, but if you could try the below steps first and see if they work that would be great..

    • Turn off the console (connect all HDMI wires)
    • Turn the console back on using the controller
    • While the console is starting up, hold down "Y" and "RT" (Right Trigger) until the console restarts.
    • This will reset the audio/video settings in the console, hopefully this works.

    Picture but no sound

    Thank you, I have tried two cables in all three ports on my TV. I removed the other devices plugged into my TV unplugged everything. Just can't work it out.

    The xbox is less than a year old, so I'm rather cheesed off!
