    No picture on TV


    Hello guys!

    I just got a "new" Xbox from someone on Craigslist. It was in a bundle and the hard drive was bigger than the one I had previously. I was moving all the stuff from the old one to the new and switching the HDMI cord just fine. Once I was done with the transfer,
    I unplugged and boxed up the old one. Now, the HDMI cord doesn't work on the Xbox. I keep getting a "No Video Signal" message on the TV. I've read through the forums and tried everything. It was working just fine a couple hours ago and now it's not working
    at all. The regular A/V cable work perfectly. I have tried Y+RT, unplugging everything and replugging, unplugging just my external hard drive that houses my profile, the blind trial, resetting my TV settings, changing the HDMI cord from the back of the TV....Nothing
    is working. Can anybody help me please?

    Xbox 360 won't display video

    my Xbox 360 WILL turn on and connect to a controller but the picture won't show up on my tv. The av cord is connected and my tv is on the right input. A couple days ago the picture on the tv from the Xbox had a green tint to it and now there's no picture
    or sound.

    Sorry to hear it. It may have been an existing issue with the console that the previous owner did not inform you of.

    You should see if you can return it to him and purchase a newer console.

    It was not an existing issue. It worked earlier in the day and just stopped.

    I understand what you are saying. What I mean though is that perhaps the fact that the HDMI port was working intermittently was an pre-existing issue that the original owner knew of.

    It could have been working fine when you connected it but then intermittently shuts off. The only way to fix this is to send it in for repair.

    This is why I suggested seeing if you can't return it to the original owner.

    This is not an existing issue. He never had any issues with it. Any other suggestions that don't include giving up?

    If the HDMI cable is not working but the regular A/V is then you would need to get the console repaired. If the person who sold the console on Craigslist says he never had any issues with it then he probably wouldn't give a refund on it.

    Sorry but that's the only other option for you if the HDMI cable does not work.

    Display Troubleshooting page     for some simple steps to try to get picture back unto your TV. Let us know if this helps!

    tv pictures

    I am having same issue...directv genie box...picture is set to native and stretch but Xbox one decodes SD picture strangely, squeezing it small with black bars around borders of the small image. Unhooking the genie box and going straight to the tv does
    not cause the issue, and the SD image is properly stretched to fit. Unhooking my directv from Xbox one until this is addressed.
