No payment method to pay with the money on my XBL Account

Greetings,

if I want to purchase a game for Xbox 360 on the xbox.com store, it wants a payment option from me and I can only choose between creditcard or PayPal, even though I have enough money on my Xbox account to buy the game without any of these option.

I want to be able to use the money on my Xbox account and dont want to use PayPal or a creditcard, because the money is already there.

Would appreciate if you guys cold look into this.

Avatar outfit

I am trying to buy an outfit for my avatar on xbone it says i have no payment method on my console, it wants me to add a credit card or pay by pay pal, i dont want to add any card ,i have money in my account from a pre paid card. where is the option to pay
using this payment method.

Can't renew Xbox pass with Paypal even though I have money on it and everything works fine elsewhere

Hello there, I've signed up for the free 14 day trial, and now I can't pay it with paypal even though I have money on my associated account and my debit card is OK and has money on it.

This is the only website that poses problem and I can't change the payment method because the website says I can't pay with my current payment method even though I CAN.

Can you help me just pay the thing ?

It will take any money you have in your account first. However you need a credit card or PayPal account attached to your Xbox account before you can buy anything.

I buy pre paid membership and won't change that!

Until I get an official notification of changes to my membership, and that I have to change my method of payment, I will take these and any other statements concerning my subscriptions with grain of salt.!!!

I'm sure that there will be plenty of XBL users that DON'T put their payment method ONLINE... Unless the encryption is strengthened to my satisfaction I will never put any account details ONLINE.

Call me old school if you like! I prefer to pay, with real money that I have, instead of incurring debts on the never never!

And YES, I am old school!

I believe that if you don't have the money to pay for something you desire, save up and pay for it when you do, in full!

There is no edit option so I have to post another post here. My other question is how can I take off my CC completely from my account? They are asking me to provide another payment method or otherwise I wont be able to take off the current payment method(aka
my expired CC)

The reason for not auto renew the account and not updating the CC detail is I am away from home for 3 months since setpember and then another 2-3 months again in 2013, renewing at this time is just a waste of money.

Secondly, Ive planned to buy the XBL points from the local gamestop and also the XBL membership card. There is no need for me to use my CC on the XBL anymore

bump found the answer elsewhere as apparently money for the MS account cannot be used for XBL only card payment when paying from the console

theres £5 down the drain as I don't like using cards on XBL

glad im going PS4 soon enough not amused by that
