    No payment being accepted


    I am trying to buy an Xbox console through the Xbox/Microsoft website, but it refuses to accept my payment. I have double and tripled checked all the payment details were accurate, my card is not on hold, and my account has more than enough funds. I also tried paying through Venmo and through another person’s debit card, but neither option worked.

    This issue has been recurring for over a week.

    Can you be sure to try making the purchase both on your console and online at this website (Xbox.com)? Let us know if it doesn't work on either.



    Is the payment option a valid debit or credit card...and not prepaid? Is the Paypal account tied to a bank account or other payment option?

I understand that you've tried different payment methods but none of the worked. Have you tried using a different device and internet connection? If not, kindly try it as well.

    Did you move to a different region? If you did not move, you may just need to ensure that your profile is set the region where you're currently located. Allow me to share this instructions so you could check your settings for all platforms.

    To change the region in your Microsoft account profile:

    Go to the Your info page of your Microsoft account dashboard:

    https://account.live.com/editprof.aspx

    Select Edit profile info.

    Select the new Country or region from the dropdown list.

    If you've configured your profile, tried other payment methods and you're still having issues, I would recommend that you contact Xbox support for your profile to be checked further. You may follow these steps:

    Click "Contact Us."

    Choose the item from the drop-down menu that best addresses your issue.

    View the support articles that are offered on the page to see if they can address your issue. If you need more help, click See contact options.

    Choose the option to "Chat online" or "Request a call" on the following screen, then fill in the required information.

    Hi there,

    please double check if all information is correct for your payment options at account.microsoft.com also check that there are no payment issues showing at account.microsoft.com/services

    Also check if there is no additional information on recent attempts to purchase items on that same page.

    If all looks good, please try a purchase via both Xbox and xbox.com.

    If it still fails then please contact Xbox Support via Phone (or Microsoft Support Chat) they can do a more indepth look into what could be causing this.

    I would suggest setting up a call back from an Xbox Live support agent by following the steps below. The agent would be able to look into your billing account and see what might be causing that issue.
