No OS on boot

after a restart, I get the initial Xbox logo, then a blank screen. The home button brings up a "Please try again soon" "make sure you are signed into Xbox live. If you see this again restart your XBox".

needless to say, restarting goes nowhere.

a long press of the home button on the controller gives me the menu to switch off.

Any ideas of how to fix this? It looks like the OS is busted.

Real windows 10 os on Xbox(is it possible?)

no, you cannot dual boot on the xbox one.

you will get the xbox version of windows 10, and you will not be able to boot to a separate partition to launch a full blown windows 10 OS.

XBOX ONE HDMI problem

I'm having this same issue. I boot up the Xbox and I get the normal green boot screen, but when the system goes to load the OS I get a black screen with no sound. I was playing Destiny and NBA 2K15 just fine yesterday, but when I went to start it up today
this issue sprung up.

 

Hi, let the Xbox sit at the black screen for at least an hour or so.

 

Are you currently running the latest preview update if so please post in these forums below.

If you aren't running the new preview update can you try holding RT + LT and then press Y simultaneously thanks.

 

had this issue myself since the last update but i recently joined the preview programme dont worry it seems as though it was just an issue with last update

 

I am not sure about the preview - I don't remember joining but I could well have.

RT+LT Y has no result

 

Sorry i meant when i joined the preview it fixed this issue when the next system update rolls out to the public it should fix this problem for you as it has with me

Cato USA please do this hold the power button for 8 seconds on the console okay. then unplug the console from all power ie remove the power brick then wait up to 5 minutes then reconnect the power, try it out and see if it'll work.

You can also try an offline system diagnostic tool that's up to you though.
