    Hi there,

    I just recently bought the new PES 2016 game and was looking to download badges and kits and transfer them onto my xbox via my usb. I watched tutorials on how to do this but when I plug in my usb device it doesn't give me an option to configure my device.
    I have tried a number of usb's and the only options it gives me are to format and clear cache memory. I have never used any of the usb's on my xbox so I was wondering why the configure option is not available for them. Any help would be much appreciated.

    USB Flash Drive problem with DLC

    Hello gamer,

    Not all brands or types of USB drives can be used with Xbox 360 that is why a Microsoft HDD is a better choice. To determine whether or not your USB drive will work with your Xbox 360 system, turn on the system and connect the USB drive to one of the system's
    USB ports. Scroll to the "My Xbox" section of the Xbox 360's menu and select the "System Settings" option. Select the "Memory" option, followed by the "USB Storage Device" option. Select the "Configure Now" option. The Xbox 360 will now check to see whether
    or not the drive can be used with the system. If the tests come back positive, the Xbox 360 will configure the drive and the device will be ready to be used with the system.

    16GB Sandisk Cruzer no longer has an "Remove Xbox 360 Storage" option.

    You no longer need to configure it for storage on 360.

    It will now work on both PC and the 360. Try copying files to it on the 360. It should work.

    It was changed in the recent dashboard update.

    The only time you need to configure a drive for 360 use is if you have no HDD installed as you will then get an option to make the USB a system drive. But if you have a HDD installed or have a 4GB console then you will never see this option and never need
    to.

    Need to format usb first so the xbox will recognize it later then put on the usb the files then put it back into the xbox. See if that works

    Once the USB device is formatted for the Xbox, you can't access that storage on a computer. It sounds like you want to do the downloads away from the console and move the items to the console via USB, which is not possible.

    I'm having the same issue! I bought an external 1TB drive to move my games to and have more storage since the latest update supports up to 2TB external storage. It formats but won't configure. Any suggestions?

    USB Data0000, ...

    Those files are how the 360 uses the configured space on the USB, so do not delete them.

    Go back to your 360 and copy any files you want to save back onto the 360. DLC can be downloaded again so don't worry about saving that if you are short on internal space.

    Now go back to where you configured it and pick the Remove Xbox 360 Storage option. Your USB stick is now fit for use for the PC only.

    If you want to put movies on the USB and use it for 360 storage simply pick the manual configure option and split the space.
