    No option to allow cross play on Fortnite


    Hello I know this has been asked in the past in Forums but has anything been resolved yet? Since Ps4 announced you could now Cross play Fortnite between Xbox one and Ps4 my son has been desperate to play against his Ps4 friends. He has been able to add
    them as a friend and they come up on his screen but when he tries to join a party with them or create a party it won't let him. In settings there is no option to allow cross play. I have contacted Epic who say its Microsofts issue with the settings on xbox.
    I have tried to change my sons settings to allow everything but it still won't work. Will this ever be fixed? He is over 12.

    Fortnite Cross platform

    When I go to play Fortnite cross platform on Xbox it brings up an error message that I cannot join the cross platform party. When I go into settings in Fortnite to change the option to allow cross platform parties, it does not appear. I am able to play
    cross platform parties when on a computer. From what I have seen on the internet, the Xbox account has to be an adult account, but I cannot figure out how to promote a child account to an adult account.

    We are aware of the issue. It was put in intentionally due to Microsoft wanting the parent account to be allowed to manage the option for cross play or not. Unfortunately, it taking longer than expected to add it to the settings for parents to manage. We
    expect an update on this situation soon.

    No option to allow cross play on Fortnite

    Hi Heidi,

    When signed into the parent account, go to your Account Settings and select Family. Then select the child account you want to manage. Then go to Privacy and Online safety and customize. You should see it there.

    Hello in order to play cross platform on Xbox you need to go into the settings in the Fortnite game and select the Allow cross platform play option. He should be good to go after that!
