    No one can hear me when I stream


    Hello everyone.

    I'm streaming my Xbox to my Windows 10 PC and I have the Xbox One Controller plugged into my pc via a micro usb cable. Plugged into my Xbox One controller I have the Stereo Headset Adapter which has a 3.5in jack input and plugged into this I have my Detonator
    headset that I used to use with my Xbox 360 which has a single 3.5in plug with 4 poles. I can hear game sound through them no problem at all and I can hear other people when in a party chat however they cannot hear me.

    Can someone advise if it is possible to use chat when streaming? and if so what I might need to do to get it to work?

    So far I have updated the Xbox One Controller. Tried different micro usb cables and played around with the sound options in the control panel of my PC.

    Can't chat when game is streamed to my desktop via Xbox App

    When I'm in a party on my Xbox One, if I begin to stream a game I'm playing on my Xbox to my desktop PC via the Xbox App - I'm no longer able to hear anyone in the party and they can't hear me.

    If i stop streaming the game on my desktop - I can hear everyone and they can hear me. This is when I'm streaming the game - not even recording.

    xbox one twitch streaming?

    I stream with twitch app from xbox one, my viewers can hear game sound but cant hear me when I try to respond to chat. I use standard xbox one headset,please help.

    Hello Egoman,

    I think the issue could be that your PC is not transmitting the microphone back to the console when you stream to Windows 10. So there's a couple things to try:

    In the Windows 10 App, join the Xbox Live Party there (rather than on the console) and see if your party can hear you now; or

    Plus the controller into the console via USB directly just to see if that works and if they can hear you.

    Let us know how you get on.

    I personally do this, yeah - but my controller is wired to the console, including use of a USB extension cable so that it can actually reach far enough.

    It worked, thank you.

    So just to clarify in case someone else has the same question - you have to accept the party invite via the Xbox One App on the PC, not on the Xbox One that is being streamed.

    The 1st thing that came to mind for me when the OP asked if the Kinect's camera had to be on while streaming was a stream of nothing but the color black with a disembodied voice saying "can you hear me now?"
