    No one can hear me when I am playing


    So I was playing online yesterday and was able to talk to people and hear them in-game. Then all over sudden, online gamers and friends can't hear me but I can hear them clearly. I have tried all the troubleshooting options. I have talked with virtual assistance
    too. I have let my friend use my headset and controller and it works but when I use it on my console, it does not work. I can send voice messages and it works. My icon lights up when I speak when I made a party of myself to test. So basically my microphone
    works when I test and send voice messages but when I try to speak to people online or friends when playing games, no one can hear me. I have also just reset it to factory settings and still no joy. TIA

    It worked, thank you.

    So just to clarify in case someone else has the same question - you have to accept the party invite via the Xbox One App on the PC, not on the Xbox One that is being streamed.

    I personally do this, yeah - but my controller is wired to the console, including use of a USB extension cable so that it can actually reach far enough.

    Hello Egoman,

    I think the issue could be that your PC is not transmitting the microphone back to the console when you stream to Windows 10. So there's a couple things to try:

    In the Windows 10 App, join the Xbox Live Party there (rather than on the console) and see if your party can hear you now; or

    Plus the controller into the console via USB directly just to see if that works and if they can hear you.

    People cant hear me but I can hear them when playing fortnite

    Is your console set to instant on or power saving mode. If set to power saver try changing it to instant on and see if that helps.

    You can also try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
    the console.
