No number tracing package in the mail for the controller back to home

Actually there is a tracking number. And also you have to be home to sign for package.

I just got my UNSC controller in the mail. The thing looks awesome! I'm keeping it in the package until November 6th though.

Hi Steve, I definitely understand your frustration with having a controller that isn't functioning properly. While I don't know all of the ins and outs of current inventory control at Microsoft, I can tell you that the controllers are serialized, and as
such the one that comes with the console package is most likely tied to the serial number of the console that it was packaged with. Kind of similar to when you purchase a car, all of the components are tied to the VIN number. So yes, if you purchase a second
controller and claim that is the one that came with the console package, you'll get busted and charged for a replacement.

Unfortunately, because i bought the elite controller on its own, i cant seem to register it. When asking where to find the serial number there is no option for the xbox elite series 1. Other people have said unless you bought the package (Which i didn't)
there the serial number option doesn't register the serial number of the controller. the only way to register a xbox elite controller is to by the paddle package and then the serial number is accepted. Personally i don't want to have to buy something just
to be able to see if a warranty is still active.

Did you change the controls at all? There's supposedly problems that have been traced back to people changing the controls. Stick them back to default and see what happens.
