No notifications when unlocking achievements

I recently purchased an Xbox One with Gears Ultimate. I've noticed while playing through the campaign that I'm not seeing any notifications when I unlock any achievement.

I have tried removing/re-adding my account, hard-resetting the console and I'm always connected to Xbox Live. Is there anything else I can do to resolve this very frustrating issue?

Many users such as yourself's made the same post with the same issue it seems like the latest update resulted in this i assure you many user's have left feedback. Or contacted the support thru chat / call and may have been recorded so i would stay patient
until the next update as well. Preview program members will test it and make sure this was fixed. Please stay patient thanks.

Hey mate,

It might be that your notifications are turned off, so try checking them to make sure it is still turned on

To access the Preferences settings:

1. Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select All Settings.
4. Select Preferences.
5. Then select Notifications to find the notifications you want to turn off.
   

Make sure they are all turned on, and hopefully that should sort it out for you

That is not the cause of the issue as all Notifications are enabled on my console. I've even tried disabling/re-enabling Notifications and the issue is still present.

I notice other users are having this issue and it is yet to be resolved. Is this an issue with the OS on the console perhaps? Can you offer any other suggestions as to how I might resolve this annoying issue?

Have you tried clearing the cache and then power cycling the console? You can clear the cache by heading to Settings>Disc & blu Ray then click on Persistent Storage.

You power cycle by holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down.

 

This issue is not resolved.

I've tried the above suggestion of clearing the Persistent Storage cache. I've Reset the console twice. The first time leaving my games and apps on the console and the second time removing everything. I've removed and reinstalled the game (Gears Ultimate),
but still nothing pops when I unlock any acheivement.

Is my console faulty? Has anyone managed to resolve this issue?

If you've already checked notification settings and hard reset, I would try a reset of the console. Go to Settings, System, Console info & updates, Reset console. I would try the option to keep your games and apps first.

 

Thanks, but you've clearly not read my previous post.

I've Reset the console twice. Removed/Re-added my profile. Disabled/Re-enabled my Notifications. Deleted Persistent Storage cache.

None of the above has resolved the issue. I'm beginning to think it's not the console at all, but a server side issue as I'm not the only user affected by this problem.

At present it seems Achievement Notifications are broken on Xbox One and MS need to both acknowledge and then fix the problem soon.

If you haven't already, can you try unlocking an achievement with another account on your console to see if it's a console issue or account issue?
