No notifications - Not popping

Hi,

I'm having an issue with any notifications showing / popping on my Xbox one.

This includes achievements, messages, party invites, friends online etc.

To be clear i am getting the messages achievements etc just no notification that these are unlocked.

Looking online the issue (unfortunately) seems to be fairly common. Everyone has suggested 2 things

1. Check that i have notifications switched on.

2. Reboot.

I have checked settings, performed a soft reboot, hard reboot, power cycled, signed out and rebooted. Nothing is working. Everything else on my system works flawlessly and my network speed is good and always connected. I've also tried changing the settings
for always on/ Energy saving mode. Still no change. Can someone please assist as i need these functions back online.

Notifications No Longer Popping

My notifications are no longer popping up, but they are enabled to show up in settings. Others people are reporting this issue. Is there a fix? I'm still actually getting my achievements, messages, invites, etc., but they aren't displaying a notification
-- which is extremely annoying.

Okay, I think I figured it out. I manually turned my console all the way off (holding down the power button on the system for 5-10 seconds), restarted it, and then made sure a light was on in the room so Kinect could see me. Then, my notifications were popping
up again. Either it was the hard reset or Kinect's vision that caused it. Either way, this is a fix.

Sorry to hear about the issue! It's definitely odd considering the steps you have tried so far. Are you able to test this on an entirely different network connection? If you happen to have a nearby friend/family member whose network you can try, that will
help us narrow down if there's any network settings that may interfere. While your speeds may not affect notifications popping, we have seen quite a few scenarios where network settings have interfered with notifications displaying.

Additionally, do you happen to have the SmartGlass app installed on a mobile device where this notifications may be going to? If so, try temporarily uninstalling the app for now to see if any achievements come in.

Give those two steps a shot to see if there's any different results. Keep us posted!

It's not supposed to be doing that, so could you try a power cycle (support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console) of your console and see if that rectifies the issue?

Same thing happening here. It seems like I get message notifications, but my acheivments almost never pop up. I just got four achievements in dead rising and not one of them actually popped up on screen. I sure hope they fix this

Yeah, for me sometimes it affects the messages being sent and being able to see messages and your friend's list. Mainly messages.

Ok thanks. As long as its more of a “normal” thing that can happen. I guess it could be a glitch with the series x/s on the system now as well?
