    No Networks Found

It seems I have lost connection with my router and cannot sign on to Xbox Live. I am told there are no networks found. I have been online fine and just found this error today. I am using a Netgear R6100 router with a black wireless antenna on the machine.
I have Optimum as my ISP and am using their modem for internet and phone, an **** model no:TM822G. After searching for the network and failing, I pressed the "Y" button for the error information and received the following: W:0000-0000 X:8000-0415 Y:0000-0000
Z:0000-0000 ID:0000-0006 L:0015-10F1 Q:8007-0435 T:Wireless A:192.168.1.4/255.255.248.0 G:24.191.88.1 D:0.0.0.0, 0.0.0.0 N:Netgear47-5G S:WPA C:0 If anyone can tell me what all this means or has any idea why after using the system for so long it would just
loose the network and not see it or any at all, please advise me. I have even tried a different router that I used previous with the system and it couldn't find that one either. Please help! Thanks Ed Brown

    :)

  3. No Wireless Networks Found

Okay so I just got my Xbox 360 today (the newest one) and I can't connect to my wireless internet connection. I've reset the modem, the router, turned of the system, EVERYTHING, and it keeps saying No Wireless Networks Found. I can connect on my laptop and
phone in the same room, but not on the Xbox. Can someone please help me? It's not unlisted, and if it happened to be I tried to use the advanced options which didn't work either. I've done everything and can't think of anything else to do to fix it. Please
    respond ASAP!

    Hi there iamtech1,

Is this from an Xbox One or an Xbox 360 console? Do you have any manually configured settings on your model, particularly ones that would affect the ability of your router to broadcast it's SSID? I have heard of some issues with Arris model modems, though
I am not certain if your particular model of modem is known to cause issues. Are you able to connect your Xbox to your modem directly via Ethernet cable? If so, test that out and see if it works on a wired connection.

This is on an Xbox 360. The router is broadcasting as I can see it with my phone, 2 laptops and an Ipad. Unfortunately, nothing has changed lately that I can think of that would have affected it. I received a 12 prepaid gold card and wanted to add it and
that's how I found there was a problem. Unfortunately, my modem and router are on the second floor and the Xbox is on the first, so I can't really use an Ethernet cable on it. I'm wondering if it could be the wireless antenna. Has that ever been an issue?
I have the original adapter from when they first came out. Its a "G" adapter. Do they ever go bad? I have a new, "N" adapter coming just to get one that is faster. I don't know if that may take care of the problem. I am using a Netgear R6100 router. It broadcasts
on both 2.4MHz and 5.0GHz. I can see both.

Wireless adapters can go bad, though it usually would happen over a long time. If you're right and it is the antenna, at least it is a fairly cheap hardware fix. You said this issue just recently started happening? I'm wondering if it may be worth a shot
to try a few things on the console itself. If you go to System Settings > Storage and then clear the system cache, does that change anything? Also, would you be willing to reformat the console itself?

I am thinking the system is 5-7 years old, so the antenna is that age. Clearing the cache makes no difference. The system still does not see the networks available. If I reformat the console, I will loose everything I have as far as progress in games that
have been played, right? I don't think my family will like to do that if at all possible. My son has quite a few games that he has spent a lot of time with, so loosing that would make him a bit unhappy. I am hoping to remedy this problem with the least amount
    of distress as possible.

I received my new "N" receiver today, attached it and plugged it in, and all is working as it should. The system recognized the networks available and signed on without a hitch. Looks like the problem was indeed the old antenna. All is well. Thanks for
all the ideas and suggestions. I appreciate the help!

Sorry for my late response iamtech1! Glad to hear that we isolated the problem with the old adapter! Don't forget to mark the thread as "Answered" so that other users will know you received a solution to the problem.
