A quick way for you to solve your problem would be to make the account through the xbox.com website

After you create your account on the site, just log in with your Xbox 360 account.

The only time you're able to get a free name change is when you make a new Xbox LIVE Gamertag on either the Xbox 360 console, or on Xbox.com They do indeed expire after 30 days. If you don't change the name within that 30 day time period after account creation
then you'd need to pay for a gamertag change.

The rules, as outlined by M3tal Daz3, have always been in place since the creation of Xbox live. It does evolve over time as new words phrases arrive in the scene.

At creation, your name may have broken the rules but not been flagged up for investigation. Once it has been it will be looked at.

I thought you were an expert on designs, but I was not sure about what you asked. Sorry!

So... I had a look at it, I remember the same feature 1 year ago, it seems that if you save a design for later it is just "Untitled Design".

I will investigate about this but at this point it is safe to say that for right now they removed this feature.

I totally get that promoting your design with your personal name it's super cool... unfortunately it seems that for now it's not possible.

I think the Xbox design lab is the coolest option for customization for the Xbox. There's so many combinations it's hard to pick one.
