    I recently downloaded No Mans Sky for the game pass to play with a friend who plays on a different console, (other than Xbox) but when I try and play with him there is no option to play. I don't know if the servers are still up to play multiplayer, but
    help with this would be appreciated

    You would need to change the privacy settings of your Xbox profile. Since you’re using a child account (-18), you would need to ask a parent to create a family group (if there isn't one already), invite you to the group as a member and change your privacy settings for you.

    Ask your parent to set all the settings related to multiplayer, parties, clubs and play with people outside of Xbox Live to "Allow" or "Everyone" on the "Privacy" and "Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One & Windows 10 Online Security " tabs.
