No MS Flight Simulator 'Launcher Button'.

I have installed MS Flight Simulator from disk, followed the instructions successfully until Step 4. At step 4 I continued to download MS Flight Simulator Launcher. At the end of this process I was not presented with a :Launch button. I can see no way of staring the simulator, there is nothing on my desktop and no obvious exe file in the program directory.

Surely following an installation the process to start the simulator should be obvious and easy, don't tell me that I need to be a software engineer or computer expert to start this simulator. If so, you will not receive a favorable review. as software installation should not require specific skills.

You just go to Microsoft Flight Simulator in the start menu like anything else

You can also launch it from theXbox app

How is your setup to install MS Flight Simulator? I mean, if you own a flight institution (or aeronautical engineering institution) with computers, you can install and license MS Flight Simulator on these computers and let the students use these computers on your education institution.

Now if you want to license MS Flight Simulator to be used on your students home computer (which will change like every year or so), it'll be a different situation.

I think the best option for you is to contact Microsoft about Flight Simulator by submitting a support ticket here (it's the official MS Flight Simulator Support channel):

For me this worked, it was pretty much because the launcher wasn't able to decompress some files correctly. navigate
your way to your roaming file (%appdata%), find your way to Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Official\Steam, delete all files that are not folders (for me I had like 6 packages at the bottom of my listing that were files not folders), then rerun the launcher
and it should correctly install them.

Here's how I fixed it:

Open your start menu

Right click on Microsoft Flight Simulator

Choose More>App Settings

Scroll down to the "Reset" section

Click both the "Repair" button, and also the "Reset" button.

Re-launch Microsoft Flight Simulator

No MS Flight Simulator 'Launcher Button'.
