no more kinect adapters

seems really wierd i cant find anything about the discontinuance of the kinect adapter but some stores still advertise it. anyone who does wants $250+ for it. so why stop making the crucial piece for x one s and x one x but still sell kinect and kinect games??
makes no sense to me

Unfortunately, the Kinect and Kinect Adapter are no longer being made. You might want to keep an eye out online but unless or until Microsoft decides to make another run of Kinect Adapters, they are just going to get more expensive and hard to find.

 

Kinect adapters

I bought a xbox one s yesterday and realised I have to get an adapter for my kinect from my previous xbox for it to work just enquiring about one being sent to me? And also how comes it asked me to buy gold even though I already had it?

 

I absolutely can’t understand how a console that came out almost 2 months ago you can’t purchase a Kinect adapter for this is a disgrace and disservice to everyone who upgraded or got one for Christmas I get you guys doing away with
it for games and new content but as a camera for streaming and voice commands I really enjoyed it and no where can you find a 40 dollar adapter in any stores only on amazon or ebay for 300/400 dollars do the right thing Xbox and make more adapters available
for purchase

 

It's being reported that the adapter will no longer be produced. I'm really disappointed with Microsoft over this and feel like they're really letting down their customers. I was hoping to get one after upgrading to the Xbox One X but they were sold out.
I've been a loyal customer since the OG Xbox and now I have become disenfranchised over these practices.

 

Well I think I will have to bite the bullet and pay £120 for an adapter. If Microsoft are no longer going to support the Kinect The price for the adapters is only going to increase as the adapters become more scares. Amazon UK currently have some for £120
Ebay selling them for similar prices.

Microsoft discontinues Xbox One Kinect adapter

I have just purchased one for £119 including postage. The price of these adapters will sky rocket even further. May I suggest People buy one Now for the £120 mark where they can find them or else that it, or pay even sillier prices for it.

 

Yes. I will not be surprised if they release an update that completely disables all functionality of the Kinect on all consoles just to screw over their customers even more.

 

I have always liked the Kinect and I think Microsoft should have ignored the vocal minority who moaned about it. These are probably the same people who ran out and bought an Amazon Echo which is a dumbed down Kinect in my opinion.

I have recently purchased an Xbox One X and I have been holding out to buy a Kinect adapter for a reasonable price. Now I hear Microsoft are no longer making them. Microsoft this is a huge middle finger to people like me who have supported you since day
one. In my house I have:

• an Original Xbox,
• an Xbox 360,
• an Xbox 360 Elite,
• an Xbox One and
• an Xbox One X.

Microsoft you are taking the pee. Not happy.

 

Yep i'm upset also FREE kinect adapters for all is what we want for being let down and torn apart like this, and if i dont get a free one i want a free Hololens then or a free 1080p camera that supports voice and motion cause this is a disregard for proud
Xbox Kinect supporters, i now cant Skype with family cause i don't have enough money for a kinect adapter.

 

Same for me. I've purchased an Xbox One S to replace my original Xbox One with Kinect. The port disappeared and the adapter is no more available .... Kinect is useless now.

A shame, Microsoft. A simple adapter !!!
