No Mech Games To Play on Xbox 1

I have been on Xbox Live since 2002 when it first started. I have enjoyed myself tremendously but that enjoyment has stopped totally for a few years now. Microsoft has been ignoring the Mech community for years. It is not right. The first game I purchased
back in 2002 with my original xbox was Mechassault. From 2002 - 2004 I was online all the time. Those were the heydays for me but waiting for a proper mech follow-up has not happened. In 2008, we had hope that Microsoft would put out a mech title and those
hopes were dashed when they did not. Piranha Games which owns some of the rights to the Mechwarrior franchise was going to bring a game to the xbox 360. That was shot down because Microsoft did not want the title to also be on the Playstation 3. The game
previews looked fantastic and everyone that I played with back in the early xbox days were excited. That game became Mechwarrior online for the pc which I played for a while then became disinterested.

Microsoft has games for sports fans, role playing games, first person shooters, mine craft fans and other types of games. Why do they leave us out when people have been asking for a proper Mechassault/Mechwarrior follow-up for years. I have been on Live
for almost 14 years and old timers like myself are getting no respect from this company game wise. I don't really play my xbox one much anymore. Unfortunately, this year will be the last one on live. My xbox one is for netflix and I have a blu ray player,
a phone, a tablet, a roku style box that can do the same thing.

To get my mech playing fix I play War Robots on my Android tablet. It is phenomenal. The graphics and the game play mechanics are console quality. I just want a joystick to work with it. The game has been downloaded 10 million times for IOS and Android
and Microsoft doesn't believe there are people who don't want to play this type of game? I know they probably will not read this and I apologize for my rant.

The early xbox days is when I met most of the people on friends list through Mechassault. That game and the people who I grew close to have a special place with me. I just wish that Microsoft held us early adopters in the same regard.

Mech Warrior fan and new game ?

chrome hounds doesn't have online anymore, armored core and front mission evolved are fairy mech games so not really like mech warrior at all. tbh there is no good mech games for xbox now, there is some free mech games on PC though

Hi, I just feel like bumping this thread. In hopes that they will make both Mech games backwards compatible. Id love to play these again and to see them improved on the Xbox 1.

I feel your pain. I loved Mechassault and would love it if they brought it up to the Xbox One.

However, there is a free to play game called Hawken you should check out. It's pretty fun as is the Titanfall series.

 

I have downloaded it and tried it on the pc. It plays fast like Titanfall. Actually, I have Titanfall one and two and only played the second one once. Hawken felt more like a battlesuit than a real lumbering huge mech to me. As a hardcore mech, I don't
want to settle. I am sure any call of duty player would complain if they changed the game mechanics too much. I will search the E3 news to see if there will be any mech news. I don't have my hopes up.

 

I'm a Die Hard Chromehunds fan, so I get you LOL. But Microsoft is not the one that decides. Game Developers will develop games for what they believe will sell. I wish they would even just bring back Chromehunds.

If you play on PC try MechWarrior Online It is a very good mech game.
