No matter what I do, screenshotting is impossible.

Hello,

This may seem like a dumb thing that a simple button can fix (And I'm hoping that's the case).

But I got the C.O.D limited edition of an xbox One (I don't know if that's important to the detail, but there you go) and no matter what guide I look at or forum I go on, I cannot for the life of me, take screenshots or take video's of my games.

I factory reset my One as soon as I got it (As it was pre-owned).

I have all the options in 'Game DVR & streaming' turned on.

I have the latest xbox update ('No updates available' it says in the settings).

When I manually record a clip (Switching from game to recording settings and clicking the 'Record the last 10 seconds' button), it comes up with an error and discards it's self back to the homepage.

I've gone on the xbox 'help' guides and still nothing comes up on it.

I double tap the 'X' button twice and no option comes up on the screen.

I've asked my xbox group for help and even they can't help me.

If I don't find help here, I'll just have to contact Microsoft. It's just a pain because this is a dumb thing to need help on, and yet, I need help on it.

Admittedly odd and I'm not sure what to say.

Did you try moving the profile from the flashdrive to one of the harddrives?

If it keeps corrupting, you're likely going to want to keep a copy backed up, just in case it corrupts the version on the cloud.

Every time i turn on my system it says via memory that me profile is corrupted. I have deleted my profile, cleared system cache, redownload my profile, didnt work i even used my brand new outa package with nothing on it hard drive, didnt work. i formatted
my hard drives, didnt work, i downloaded my profile to a flash drive, it worked. any suggestions?

 

Update:

Tech-Support friend recommended I use the 'energy saving' option in my power settings.

Still not working.
