No matter what I do I can't get an open NAT

I have an Xbox One hardwired to a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 router that is plugged into a Motorola/**** modem. No matter what I do I can not get the Xbox one to have an Open NAT on Advanced Warfare.

I have tried:

Port Forwarding

UPnP

and putting Xbox One into the DMZ

my nat is strict and i can't change it to open no matter what i do how do i fix it?

ok so when i got my xbox one the nat was strict i opened ports set it in DMZ mode and gave it a static ip. for about two weeks that worked out great then it started to go from strict to open and strict to open never moderate. now it has only stayed in strict
nothing i do will fix it it has a static ip, ports fowarded to it, its in DMZ mode and i have the router only letting it connect to my xbox one through the mac address. this is very frustrating because nothing i do fixes it i have a Belkin AC1200DB Wireless
Router model F9K1113v2 (01) bridged into my at&t gateway model 3801HGV i've never had a problem like this i couldn't fix through a little research but this is beyond me if anyone could help that would be amazing because i've exhausted all of my
efforts and need some help. im pretty good with this kinda stuff so any type of feedback would be amazing

 

What port did you forward for Advanced Warfare?

Advanced warfare needs port 3076 for an open NAT.

You mention you are unable to get an open NAT on Advanced Warfare. Does this mean you are also unable to get an open NAT on your Xbox itself or is it only COD:AW which is giving a moderate NAT. If it's only Call of Duty itself you might want to visit the
Call of Duty forums and ask if the game needs additional ports to be opened.

 

The game does need additional ports forwarded. UDP port 3076.

 

Ok, so port 3076 was not opened and now it is. Still strict on AW. I am unable to get anything better than a moderate on the xbox one settings and nothing better than strict on AW. Any more suggestions?

 

Can you configure the settings on both your modem and your router? If so I suggest you DMZ your Xbox one on the router and port forward the router through the modem (or vice versa whichever you prefer).

You might have to connect directly to your modem in order to change it's settings.

This should enable you to have an open NAT

 

same crap is happening to me it was open last night now network is strict Im not sure if the xbl status is also making xbox one act up.It states that its having problems with xbox 360 social maybe somehow its causing this nat strict problem with xbox one.

The Xbox360 and Xbox One use different servers, also the service alert is for indication that there are still issues uploading worlds from minecraft to the cloud.

As for the NAT going from open to strict this might be caused if you don't have a static Xbox IP which is port forwarded

But Cgar can you create a new post if you encounter more issues so we can focus support on your issue ?

 

@FearedNightmare I just tried this and... now we are open on AW and xbox network settings!!! Thanks so much to everyone who posted suggestions!

 

Ok, now with this solution I am getting warnings for WAN access from weird IP's from the Ukraine and China in the router logs. It is connecting to ports that were forwarded in the modem and the router UPnP. Is this something to be worried about?

 

@Merkic I suggest you contact your ISP about those Ip's and request them to be blocked from accessing your connection
