Is anyone else thinking about selling their Xbox One and buying a PS4 just for No Man's Sky ?

No Man's Sky

No Man's Sky finaly made it to the Xbox One (X)!

Waiting for this game the day it released, offcourse it had its own bumpy little road, but with 3 major updates and the NEXT update on the horizon the game made some huge improvements.

Can't wait to play this game and discover al there is, hopefully with some friends in the new multiplayer! ;-)

i got rid of my ps4 again as i have to much invested in xbox, no mans sky is nothing special and will get really boring after a few weeks, that if the servers live up to the expectation.

 

I really would like to play No Man's Sky, hopefully they will take it out soon for Xbox One.

Although saying that, I dont have a lot of faith in Microsoft or Xbox One - I have had to return four game controllers with various faults.. and now with the summer Xbox One software update the audio for moving from tile to tile is crackling ! ... oh and
I can no longer PIN games from the game store to my home page.

I don't have a lot of faith in MS or XB ... sometimes I wonder if these faults are on purpose because they are so obvious !

 

No mans sky is already on Xbox One, the only thing is though that you have to search for it.

If you go to the games section, and then search for Elite Dangerous, you'll find it. Its a bit of a mistake on Microsoft part, they just labelled the game wrong on the store.

Seriously though, Elite Dangerous is almost the exact same game, in fact some may say that Elite Dangerous actually is far more complex than No Mans Sky.

 

Al;so, from the sounds of it, No Mans Sky is purely single player.

Which is strange because the developer said it also had multiplayer in it during interviews, though he said the chances of meeting people was remote.

Now the same developer says its purely single player, nice way to lie to customers.

Also, games in the game that have been single player but had to connect to the internet were slated, people shouted from the rooftops "why do I need to connect to the internet to play a single player game"

Now though, its all overlooked, people don't seem to care.

So you only play games for achievements? You're playing for the wrong reason.

Not bothered about No Mans Sky.Out of my friends who still have a PS4 2 have traded the game in already as they found it got boring very quickly,another friend is already saying it's starting to get boring,all the planets she's been to are pretty much the
same,just slightly different colours.

As Shaggy said,sounds like you'd be better off with Elite Dangerous.

 

Ye, I bought Elite Dangerous what it was still in preview program, and from the looks of it, it has far more stuff to do. No Mans Sky looks like its the following:

1: Fly to new planet

2: Land on planet

3: Harvest minerals to allow you to take off

4: Go back to 1

And that's pretty much it as far as I can see.

 

Certainly doesn't seem like a reason to buy a PS4 let alone selling your Xbox One to get one.

Wouldn't buy a £250 console just for one game anyway myself.

It's only been out a few days so a bit hard to judge but the feedback I've been getting from friends is that No Mans Sky is a let down but then again I don't think it was ever going to live up to expectations

 

Nothing confirmed but hold onto your xbox for a little while longer as they might be bringing it to Xbox,

I would imagine its a bit like Tomb Raider, we'll probably see it sometime next year.

But by then the hype will have died down and nobody will really care, I bought it on PC and ye its a decent game, but nothing to go and buy an entire console over.

 

XBOX NEEDS TO SORT THE INDIE GAMES SET UP OR RISK LOSING IT,S LOYAL FAN BASE.

 

Erm......why?

It wasn't Microsoft's fault that Sony approached Hello Games and offered them a load of cash for timed exclusivity, just like it wasn't Sonys fault when Microsoft did it for the recent Tomb Raider game.

Also there are loads of indy games that are exclusive to Xbox and vice versa, if you want access to all indy games you'll need to get all consoles. If you choose one console you'll have to expect not to play some games.
