No Man's Sky Xbox One X Crashing

For the past week I've been getting random crashes while playing NMS. When it happens it shuts the system down completely. I've tried deleting and redownloading the game and my profile both worth no effect. Does not happen with any other game or app.
Anyone else having this issue???

I haven't been able to play the game at all and I tried all the Xbox-side recommended actions.

Paul from Xbox Forums Team here to assist with the issue, it looks like the game No man's Sky keeps crashing while playing. If after deleted and re-adding the game the issue still persists, I recommend clearing the local saved game data. I'll list the steps
below on how to do so. If clearing the local saved game data doesn't fix the issue then the next best thing to do would be to

Perform a Soft Factory Reset. Before you do so please make sure you know the log in information for your account, because when you perform the reset it'll remove your profile from the console. Please let us know how it goes.

Clear Local Saved Game

1. go to Settings

2. Settings --> System

3. System --> Storage

4. Storage --> Clear Local Saved Games

Try reinstall the game and try clearing cache.
Put your finger on the start button of the console for 10 seconds until it goes out.
Then wait another 30 and turn it on again.
After trying this, reinstall the game.
It may work for you .

 

I've done all those things. Had no effect so it has to be a game issuethat meds to be fixed. I'm trying to find out if anyone else is having this issue.

I would also try clearing out the Network Card Cache (alternate MAC address) to make sure everything is where it needs to be on the console.

To clear the alternate MAC assuming you're on Xbox One and not PC it's

Settings

Network

Network settings

Advanced settings

Alternate MAC address

Select Clear and then Restart

Try it and keep us posted!

 

Haven't tried that. Will try once Astros win today lol. Just installed new xfinity gateway couples weeks back so idk.

 

Hey bud these steps are done on the console and don't take long (maybe 1 minute). Keep us posted and enjoy the game!

 

This did not work either. I did all these steps, started yet another brand new save and game lasted maybe 7 minutes so it is definitely not a system overheat issue as it was barely warm to touch and had only been a a total of maybe 15 minutes.

 

You should also try a different console (if available) to compare.

 

Sure, send me another X since mine is only 7 months old. I've read online that I'm not the only person getting this also.

 

I am having the exact same issue! In fact, I just bought the game on disc today, and after installing it, got through about 10 minutes of the game and it crashed just as you described. I tried a few other disc based games to see if maybe it was the disc
drive or something, but all those games ran fine. I figured the disc was defective so I brought it back to the store and exchanged it (both were brand new copies btw). Deleted the old file just in case and did a hard reset. Reinstalled the new copy, loaded
it up, and within seconds of starting a new game it did the same thing! Hopefully we get this resolved soon because I sure would like to play this game.

Also, I should note that during installation, the disc drive was actually making some unusual squeaky noises for a while, but not sure if that had anything to do with it. None of my other disc based games make such noises.

 

Hey all, I am having the same issue and have had the xbox one x and this game since the day that they arrived. I can attest that before Hello games released the most recent update the game had run incredibly smooth and I had never had an issue. The two friends
that I have been playing the game with (They have an xbox one S and original xbox one) continue to not have any issues when they are alone or we are hosting a game. My xbox one X on the other had is continuing to crash after something between 5-40 minutes
of play and without warning.

Per this chain I am pulling out my old xbox one original and downloading the game to see if that has the issues as well but I am providing feedback on the game page that they missed something in the most recent update that is affecting xbox one x users specifically.
I recommend you do the same.

*Edited to mention that the two friends are not running an xbox one x

 

Ask on the developer forums to see if a hotfix is comming or ask for a patch there to fix that problem...hope you can play ot soon...
