No Man's Sky Xbox 1 Multiplayer not showing up

The next thing I would do is look at resetting their Xbox One:

1. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.
2. Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
3. Select Reset console.
4. On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options, select the following:
   • Reset and keep my games & apps. Use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is
     causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with Reset and keep my games & apps.

After you select one of the options, your Xbox One console will begin the process of erasing the selected content and resetting itself to the default settings.

After that, potentially uninstall and reinstall the game but, I've heard that doesn't help.

Thank you for your response. We have just gone through everything that you mentioned, and still the option for Multiplayer has not appeared on the Xbox. Do you have any other steps we can try?

2. Manually check for and console and game updates on the Xbox.

3. Ensure the profile has an active Xbox Live Gold subscription.

4. Ensure the profile has multiplayer enabled (e.g. child account restrictions).

5.Ensure the Xbox has an active internet connection.

Can you be specific about what family settings need to be set for a child profile to be able to play multiplayer?

The Multiplayer menu shows up correctly when I launch the game using my parent Xbox profile. I have used the Family Settings menu to manage my child's profile, setting everything I can think of to adult content, and still, he does not get the Multiplayer
menu as I do.

It looks like neither of those worked as well. Anything else we can try?
