I really hope the large update will bring the game back such a let down at launch for a game that seemed so fun and revolutionary.

 

I don't like this kinda game, but If You like so I think You should buy It, I think You should see Gameplays of the game to know how It is

 

As others have said, that is up to personal preferences. But I will say that I believe that NMS is much more worth it now than it was on release day. If you are looking into threads like this one, that means that you have an interest in space games. Whether
it's for the exploration, the feeling of loneliness or whatever, you still have a desire to know more about the game. To me, that shows that you might very well enjoy this type of game. My best suggestion is to head over to YouTube and look for a recent
let's play of NMS. That should give you an idea of what the game is about. Also, make sure you head over to the

NMS wiki pages as that will give you information about all the new features that are in the game.

All said, my answer to your question would be, yes. It is worth the purchase if you are interested in a game like this. But check it out yourself.

From this thread and some Twitch watching... scan everything. Scan, scan, scan. I am still waiting to pick up the game as I have some others to finish first but it seems like you can sink hours upon hours into this game. I have watched people build a
variety of bases, explore all kinds of planets each with their own unique feels. I know the release version received some negative reviews but this latest update has really turned the game around.

Make sure you scan everything on every planet in each system not only it gives younanite clustersbut also credits for planet full discovery. Update everything.

When you get your first freighter, every new system you go into go look at the local mission show can give you rare items that sell for Millions.

Go to the freighter's bridge to start those missions.

 

I just want to second this. This is absolutely the fastest way to earn units! FYI, Whispering Eggs you will have to employ this method, Humming Eggs give you pearls and pose no danger to you, though the Larval Cores are worth far more.

 

I'm gonna wait till this goes on sale to get it. It looks like a lot of fun now and vastly improved.

 

Is this game worth it after all the updates now?

I know this game go a lot of bad press in the beginnning, is it worth it now? I have been playing Elite and love that game, is it similar?

 

When you’re gathering carbon, ferrite or anything with your mining beam, if you stand a good distance away from what you’re mining (and the sentinel drones aren’t near you to begin with) then the drones can’t see you.

 

In some ways it's similar. I find the game to be fun and entertaining personally. It's quite the time suck though. So if you're going to get into it. You'll need quite a bit of free time.
