No Man's Sky finaly made it to the Xbox One (X)!

Waiting for this game the day it released, offcourse it had its own bumpy little road, but with 3 major updates and the NEXT update on the horizon the game made some huge improvements.

Can't wait to play this game and discover al there is, hopefully with some friends in the new multiplayer! ;-)

New players should start by scanning everything they can...it will net you some quick cash. once you have scanned all the animals on a planet dont forget to upload them all in the discoveries tab and then once you upload them a silver paw icon will be
at the top of the list, hold the A button (on a controller) to turn it in as well.

 

To earn money fast, find an abandoned building. You'll find some Whisper Eggs laying in nests around the building. Mining the Whisper Egg will drop one Larval Core, but will also summon a swarm of Bio-Terrors. Once you mine one Whisper Egg, pick up the
Larval Core and fly up to the top of the abandoned building. Wait there for a while and the swarm of Bio-Terrors will subside back into the ground. At that point, just hop down and harvest another.

Each Larval Core is worth about 95,000 credits. Of course, you will usually get slightly less than that when you sell them, but this is the fastest way of earning credits that I've seen.

I've heard that you can place a base computer in the area and build wooden walls around the nest to allow you to harvest all the Whisper Eggs without being hit by the Bio-Terrors, but I have not tried this method. I have seen videos that prove it works,
but you have to harvest an egg from a different nest before you harvest the nest you've surrounded.

 

It should probably be noted that just scanning things gives you credits. But when you turn them in on the discovery tab, you earn Nanites.

 

is the game worth the purchase?

 

I’m so on the fence about this game. Sometimes I think it looks good and other times it looks meh.

A thread like this should be stickied, NMS is such a massive immersive title that tips and advice are ALWAYS beneficial! It looks amazing on the X by the way!

 

You can also build a base and put walls around them so you can harvest without horrors attacking you!

 

I started playing today and had some difficulties at first, but then I learned to play more calmly, no hurry, and it made me enjoy the game much more. Follow the tips but do not rush: it is a cool game that is worth exploring to the fullest!

 

It depends on your personal tastes. I've put in almost 18hrs into this game (would be more if I didn't have to be a functional adult with responsibilities) and I've enjoyed every minute. I enjoy just exploring the beautiful planets and trying
to avoid causing trouble with the sentinels. It's slow and immersive. I have a friend that bought it on launch for PC and is still playing it and enjoying it. If you can play a game for that long and still love it I'd say it's a win.

 

I love this game every planet feels really cool and different.

 

I need to follow this thread so when I try to actually learn the game it will help.
