1. Are you trying to play through PC or Xbox Console?
   

PC. My mistake, I'm playing on PC with a PC Game pass.

We notice that you mention having Game Pass for PC and you have added this query under Xbox Console. Xbox Console requires Xbox game pass core or ultimate to be able to do multiplayer games. While on PC, you should be good to go.

We've trier to play No Man's Sky few months back then, and experienced the same mistake. I had no "Network" or "Multiplayer" option when launching NMS. I thought of a software/hardware problem...And then my subscription ended, so I didn't go further.

But with a new processor and a new graphic card, I'm experiencing the same issue...I red on comments here and there that is a known issue with this game...And it's annoying :-/

I'm sorry that was not the steps for Xbox Game Bar but of console. As network status you may use the network tools in Windows. See this support article: Check your network connection status - Microsoft Support.

If there is an issue with network status, please contact your Internet Service Provider for assistance. Should your network status show no issues, then this requires some expertise from the live support team.

1. Please use this link: Contact us | Xbox Support
   
2. Scroll down and look at the lower left side if you can see the page matches the country/region you are currently located.
   
3. If not, please select the country/region it is showing and select the correct one among the lists.
   
4. Make sure to use to check the available contact times of the support.
   
5. Select the "Contact Us" button
   
6. Select the drop-down menu options that will match your concern.
   
7. The next window will provide you with support articles based on your request and we recommend reviewing the relevant articles before selecting the "See contact options" button.
   
8. On the final window, you will be presented with multiple options. We suggest selecting either the "Chat online" or the "Request a call" options to speak with someone. Be sure to provide as much detail as possible.
   
9. If you cannot get connected to the support, please use the Virtual Agent and enter this exact phrase, "Talk to an agent".

If you are on the legal age then you do not have to be part of Microsoft family group however, if you are not yet then you should be managed to retain the settings for multiplayer and communicating friends on your account privacy settings.

As your set up should be good to go, please check Xbox Network.

OK, i press the Xbox button of my Xbox controller.

1. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.
   

I don't have this menu > when i Go in Settings>General in the top bar, I don't have any Network Settings highlighted
