So its a MP player game with no expectations of being MP, makes it an even odder concept.

Death threats IMO are not acceptable under any circumstance, and while I can see your point Goat, the consequence to the people on the receiving end could be major, not in the fact about the person making the threat acting on it, but the emotional and mental
implications on the lives of the people involved.

All the completionists, will simply set their ship to fly to the center and leave there PC's running.

It wouldn't work Davey. You have to mine or trade for fuel for your ship, and early in the game you start with a basic ship that can't travel far and poor hyper drives.

Just going back to the death threat thing. I doubt anyone would be emotionally scared from receiving death threats from a keyboard warrior 12 year old's. Sean even made fun of it with the "pillow fort" comment.

shows how little i know about no man sky, thanks for the info, hope its good for you and i will keep an eye on it.

Not every keyboard worrier is 12 years old, and it only takes one.....the more it gets brushed of the move "acceptable" it becomes and IMO it shouldn't, but I get what your saying.

@enen here is the playable galaxy in elite dangerous
    xboxdvr.com/.../18029450

No mans sky is supposed to be similar in size. In my clip I zoom out from my position and then zoom back in towards the center of the Galaxy. Every star you see can be travelled to if you have the time and the ship to do it. Plenty of stars to discover and
have your tag associated with discovering them.

i have trouble with controlling a car in rocket league, I think flying spaceships might be out of my league unless its space invaders, but thanks for the info.

Elite dangerous has more appeal than nms for me, because it seems to have more depth, but again I haven't looked into either enough tbh, but will keep an eye on it, and might look at elite as well.

Yeah I didn't mean 12 year old as in all keyboard warriors are 12, I meant it more as in they act 12 years old. I just didn't type it very clear.

I bought Elite as soon as it arrived on the X1, and I instantly struggled to get into it. I think I'd spent a month or two watching youtube vids about Elite before I bought it, and I was so sure I'd enjoy it but I found it a little frustrating. To be fair
though, I didn't give it the time it deserved and should really give it another go.

No Man Sky delayed, a good thing or bad?

when I was 12 I didn't offer up anyone a death threat and I don't know any 12 year old that would no matter how much of a plonker i might think they are. Children learn from example a massive element of that is from adults........(i know I am being pedantic,
i just think it undermines young people, and is a fairly old fashioned for want of a better word as its still very much a norm)

I will not mention it again in this post, although I remain the right to.......

Ye i think No Man Sky is the fable, to the elite dangerous's Morrowind.

    Have you seen this:

Omg Davey, you took the "12 year old" thing way to serious. I know 12 year olds don't normally send people death threats...... I have one, and he is very well behaved lol.

Yeah erm, Elite you have to have real world space travel experience, qualified in astrophysics and quantum physics, and also be able to dock a space craft in a space station in real life.

NMS, as long as you can hold a controller you should be fine.

I was thinking about getting Elite, but it looks like it has a steep learning curve. Where as No Man's Sky looks more simpler and more accessible and landing on a planet and getting out to explore appeals more to me than just flying about in space (I know
Elite has some planets you can land on, but I don't think it's on the same scale as NMS)

As for the death threats, I don't understand why people do it, it's just makes them look stupid. At least Sean Murray is taking it well
