No longer saving password

Discus and support No longer saving password in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Turned on xbox this morning and was signed off, signed on again and it logged in, but on the save password screen it gave me an error and logged me out...     No longer saving password


    Turned on xbox this morning and was signed off, signed on again and it logged in, but on the save password screen it gave me an error and logged me out again, I know I'm using the right password - also had trouble signing in on the xbox live and microsoft
    websites this morning, is this a server issue? Have tried deleting cache, deleting profile and redownloading profile....all of which worked just as expected until I got to the save password screen and selected "Next", at which point I get an error and am logged
    off again.

    The Xbox One automatically saves the Wi-Fi password of the access point it's currently connected to.

    If you mean saving the passwords of multiple access points, for example like bringing your Xbox back and forth to a friend's house, then it doesn't do that (as far as I've checked).

    Hello, I think it's because your son has a child account and the parent account needs also to be signed in.In settings you should find an option to log in automatically.

    Is your son using his own account or is he using your account?

    Here is how you would do it:

    1. Go into settings.

    2. Under the account tab go to sign in security and passkey.

    3. Choose which option you want there should be a drop down menu with the following choices and here is what each choice means.

    • Make it fast, make it magic: Automatic sign-in with no password or passkey required.
    • No barriers: No password or passkey required to sign in, change settings, or make purchases.
    • Check that it's me: A passkey is required to sign in.
    • Ask for my passkey: A passkey is required to sign in, change settings, or make purchases.
    • Lock it down: Your Microsoft account password is required for almost everything.
    • Customize: Select this option to customize which actions require a password or passkey.

    Xbox One STILL won't accept correct WiFi password.

    Hi there,

    I'm not sure it applies to WiFi passwords, but for account passwords the password may not be longer then 16 (or 12?) characters.

    If your wifi password is longer then please try a shorter version to see if that helps.
