No longer Own Minecraft, but can`t Buy it either

Ok so recently I felt like playing Minecraft again, so I went to Mojang to redownload it. Had to merge my account with my Microsoft account so I did that.

Then it gave me the choice to either play the Java or the Windows version. The Windows version I would have to Buy so I went with the Java one wich just let me download it.

Downloaded the launcher, with some hiccups and it asking me to try it via the Windows store (wich I did), and then finally started the Launcher. Only to be greeted by the Demo and the Launcher asking me to buy it again. After several tries of redownloading the launcher and nothing working I resigned myself to maybe buying it again, except If I click on the Buy option, I get redirected to the Minecraft site wich tells me I already own it and can just download it, wich in turn just downloads the installer for the launcher wich again tells me I do NOT own it.

How do I fix this?

I own Minecraft and the website knows this but the Launcher refuses to let me play.

SirYoshen did you try installing instead old minecraft launcher listed as Windows 7/8 from link below:

Then try log in with your microsoft account and see if you're able to play it finally

if you already owned a copy then you can still download them, but you can no longer buy them digitally. i have halo 2, 3, 4 and reach digitally so can play them whenever i want but can no longer buy the game digitally and also no longer the dlc.

This has happened to me before, doing a hard reset to my xbox (holding down the console power button for 10 seconds). hasn't failed me as far as this issue goes yet so hopefully it'll help you!
