I used the wrong microsoft account for minecraft and now i'm locked out of that account because it was a school account from high school. i didn't make the account my school did i have all the password and that but it still kicks me out. So now i either have to get that account back or buy minecraft again and i don't want to pay $30 on minecraft again.

In this case, the linking system of any game is always external, responsibility of the developer. You will need to call Mojang support, ask them to manage this link, ask them to remove this account that you don't have access to and put your account.

To clarify, you want to use a WLID from an old account, but you no longer have access to that WLID? First, if you don't have access to it, why would you want to use it on your new account?

do not delete the Microsoft account you want to change the primary alias then delete the old email address you no longer have access to

If the game saves are for your GoldenEagle account they will stay with that account. However, DLC is tied to both the console and the gamertag that originally downloaded it. This means that once switched to the new console you will no longer have access
to that DLC.

Have you tried recovering that old tag? Or was it banned and you no longer have access to it? Let us know and we'll try to help further.

You would need to change the gamertag on your old account first to free the gamertag. This would cost 800 points though.

You would then be able to use the gamertag on your new account.

If you no longer have access to the old account tfor some reason then you would probably need to contact support to get access
