No longer finding any wifi networks

I've always been on my wifi at home and never switched it off but suddenly a couple days ago it's disconnected from XBL and I can't connect nor find any networks at all (even when I wifi-hotspot my phone's 4G connection right next to it). Other devices are
connected to my wifi just fine. Xbox and wifi router are within line of sight, same room. I've tried power-cycling the xbox as well as my actiontec router, no go. I tried manually typing in the SSID and it still can't find anything. I try typing an IP address
manually 192.168.1.27 for example and it's a no go as it just sets the IP back to 169.x.x.x. I've cleared the MAC alternative address. I've turned instant-on to OFF also, hoping any of this will bring the wifi adapter in the xbox back to life, but still failing.
Just now I've even tried a soft reset and when it came back to the connectivity setup, it didn't show any wifi SSIDs.

Any other ideas?

Ethernet-connected does work, but I am hoping not to have to resort to that.

Xbox One can't detect wifi

My Xb1 can't find any wifi networks. Wired connection is the only way for me to connect. Every now and then my xb1 can use wifi, but it doesn't last long. It always ends up disconnecting and not finding networks again. How do I fix this?

 

Problems after an update

After doing an offline update I can no longer connect to any wifi network nor directly to the cable.

 

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
Once it is back up and operational test the results. I have had this resolve that issue many times.

Unfortunately that did not work. It still isn't finding any wireless networks (even after I hit Y to refresh list).

 

I had a similar issue with my X1 S.

upon start up, my S would often not auto connect to my wifi network. And, just like the rh71Social mentioned, it wouldn't detect any wireless networks even after hitting Y to refresh.

rh71Social, if you've tried both soft and hard resetting, the only other option would be to do a full factory reset ( which wipes out everything ). I tried that, and while it fixed the problem temporarily, it came back ( although less frequently ).
